Hosted by Stan West in Ladera Heights (near Culver City), this is one of the oldest continuous monthly group meetings. Stan is a gourmet cook and will put out a spread such that no one will be disappointed they came! He can accommodate up to 7 fully vaccinated people. Five of those lucky people will be randomly chosen to read their stuff to the rest of the group for some constructive criticism.  Those not chosen will get accolades from their fellow authors for helping the others chase that dream, and some great food! Join us for a wonderful day of retro fun – miniature golf, arcade, batting cages, unhealthy food, noisy kids at this Sherman Oaks landmark – run by the Parks Dept. The address is 4989 Sepulveda Blvd. It’s very close to the Sherman Oaks Galleria. It may be hot, so let’s meet just inside the doors. I’ll be wearing a Mensa hat. Halloween Party at the home of Sam Moses at 821 Dickson street in Marina Del Rey.  Come to this exciting, dramatic, horrific, and possibly life-changing event.  Costumes encouraged, but not required.  Bring food or $5, drinks and a smile.

We will start out with lunch at Clutch & Coffee, 1321 El Prado in downtown Torrance. From there we will join in on a docent-led walking tour of downtown Torrance which is put on by the Torrance Historical Society & Museum. It leaves from the steps of the Museum at 1:30, lasts about 90 minutes. The distance is about one mile with several stops along the way to hear the history of Torrance. The museum address is 1345 Post Avenue, Torrance, CA.
