Taix (pronounced Tex) has been around since 1927 and has been at its current location since 1962 with very little changes done since then, even still being run by the same family that has run it since day one. Slavko's Harbor Poultry in San Pedro has been around for a century and serves Croatian dishes in addition to the usual fried and barbecue offerings. San Pedro has a few of these restaurants that serve a couple of Croatian dishes thanks to their large local community. Unfortunately, this and most other San Pedro restaurants that offer Balkan dishes do not stay open late so we are meeting at 3 instead of our usual 5 PM meeting time.
