This month we are going to Hermosa Beach, specifically Fritto Misto. This Pier Avenue locale was named the best lower priced Italian restaurant in the South Bay beach cities by Easy Reader Magazine and is quite popular with the locals. You can build your own pasta or get one of their specialty dishes. I really liked their cheese stuffed gnocchi with spinach and artichokes. They have a wide variety of them, both the savory and sweet kinds, and plenty of outdoor seating which does not get packed in the late afternoons and evenings. The restaurant is at 424 Pier Avenue. We’ll meet in front of the Neon Art Museum – 216 Brand Blvd. in Glendale at noon and explore the local stores, including those in the Americana Mall.
