Located at Bel Air Church, 16221 Mulholland Drive, L.A., room DC 102. Do we live in a computer simulation? For centuries philosophers entertained the question of whether the universe is an illusion. A modern take on this question is whether the universe is a computer simulation, similar to the movie The Matrix. When researching this topic, I was shocked to see how much discussion is out there regarding us being in a computer simulation and how many people see this as a realistic possibility. Urban Hike at LA Library
Not really a “hike” but there will be some walking involved. We will meet at noon at The Last Bookstore, located at 453 S. Spring Street. After checking out the bookstore for a bit we will head upstairs in the same building to have lunch at Spring Street Cafe. After lunch we will walk less than 1/2 mile to the Los Angeles Public Library located at 630 West 5th Street. There we will attend a one-hour docent-led tour of the library. The tour starts at 2pm.
