Science Logic and Faith
This meeting will give an overview of key quantum mechanical ideas and show where quantum mechanics has philosophical implications and where it does not. Some aspects covered: Heisenberg uncertainty principle, particle-wave duality, discrete versus continuous energy states, and Schrodinger’s cat. Don’t let the big words scare you, non-technical people will follow the talk just fine. The meetings are open to those of all beliefs and perspectives, not limited to Mensa, and are promoted in several ways so you will meet a diverse audience. South Bay Sunday Salon
A longtime favorite South Bay restaurant of mine has been Al Noor in Lawndale. It has been closed for dining in for a long time due to the pandemic but has recently reopened. This place features some unique Pakistani and Indian dishes, including haleem, a chicken and grain stew and one of my favorites, and nehari, a beef shank that is a popular Pakistani breakfast item.
