Science Logic and Faith (In-Person): Human Origins

August 7, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 pm

Where did mankind come from?  Did modern humans evolve from an ape-like species or are humans the result of a creation process?  Is mankind a higher form of animal, or are we distinct from the rest of the animal kingdom?  What were the Neanderthals?  Is there any scientific basis for the story of Adam & Eve to be literal?  Join us for a fascinating talk that has significance with how we view ourselves as human beings.

Science Logic and Faith is a 20-part series that uses science and logic to look at the Bible, faith, and spirituality.  Each talk is mostly independent from prior week’s so you can join anytime or attend occasionally.  It is open to those of all beliefs and perspectives, not limited to Mensa, and is promoted several ways so you will meet a diverse audience.  The purpose is twofold.  First, to provide a presentation and discussion on topics of key interest.  Second, to create a place of community for people to connect after the isolation we endured the past couple years.  Each topic will be offered in-person on Sunday morning, and by Zoom on Wednesday evening.  In-person meetings are in a classroom (room number TBD) at Bel Air Church, 16221 Mulholland Drive, L.A., from 10:00 – 10:55 a.m.  For more info and classroom number, contact Perry Lanaro at ScienceBibleSeries@gmail.com.  Currently, I do not know my summer schedule enough to publish meetings beyond August 17.
