Since the fourth Sunday of the month is Christmas Eve, we are once again having Sunday Salon on another day. This month we are going to Aunty Maile’s in East Torrance. This Hawaiian hole in the wall was recently reviewed in the Eat the World Los Angeles blog (eattheworldla.com) and its other online reviews are also very good. The place has all the Hawaiian staples such as spam musubi, ahi poke, and the wonderful cakes. Aunty Maile’s is located at 19106 Normandie Avenue right by where the 405 and 110 meet and by where I used to work as an estimator right before the Great Recession.
